The chinese name of SCABBARD is 剑鞘 jiàn qiào.

剑 jiàn 由剑身 jiàn shēn、剑格 jiàn gé、剑柄 jiàn bǐng、剑首 jiàn shǒu 构成.
The structure of JIAN is composed by the blade body, the guard, the handle and head.

Pay attention: 剑格 jiàn gé is also called 护手 hù shǒu (like in BROADSWORD and NANDAO)

剑身包含剑尖 jiàn jiān、剑刃 jiàn rèn、剑脊 jiàn jí.
The blade body includes tip, blade edges, and spine.

The face of the sword is called 剑面 jiàn miàn.
